Tekashi69 is facing 47 years in prison.
Tekashi69 plead guilty to all 9 charges of racketeering, conspiracy, narcotic trafficking and firearm offenses and it is possible that he will cooperate with the prosecution as a witness.
By acting as a witness, Tekashi69 is set to be put on witness protection program after serving his term in jail.
Plea Deal
Originally, Tekashi69 was facing a minimum of 47 years in prison, but with this deal, Tekashi69 is more than likely to receive a reduced sentence if he continues cooperating with the prosecution.
According to TMZ, the plea deal with the US Attorney of the Southern District of New York, states that, “Should the defendant successfully cooperate, the government agrees that it will file at the time of sentencing a motion…for a sentence below any mandatory minimum.”
He is set to be sentenced next year. It is not clear to how many years he will get to serve in prison.
Tekashi69 will be at risk if he gets out early. The plea deal reads: “It is understood that the defendant’s cooperation is likely to reveal the activities of individuals and that witness protection may be required at a later date.”
