Man United fans loved Ander Herrera’s gesture to Alexis Sanchez after Chelsea

Many people predicted that Alexis Sanchez would start for Man United on Monday night at Chelsea.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer went into the FA Cup tie having lost Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial against PSG.

Sanchez has struggled to lock down a starting berth since Solskjaer’s arrival, but this appeared to be the Chilean’s opportunity.

In a blow to Alexis, however, Juan Mata was named in the XI. Sanchez was left to watch on the bench.

Eventually the South American replaced Romelu Lukaku in the 73rd minute.

Alexis put in an energetic cameo at Stamford Bridge in the 2-0 win.

Wolves will host Manchester United in the FA Cup quarterfinals.

Man United are back in Premier League action this weekend with a monster match at Old Trafford against Liverpool.

If Liverpool win, the Reds will go three points clear of Man City at the top of the table.

As for United, victory would significantly boost their chances of finishing the season in the top four.
