World Marathon record holder, Eliud Kipchoge, has been awarded the Laureus Academy Exceptional Achievement award 2019. Kipchoge broke the marathon world record in a time of 2:01:39 at the Berlin Marathon.
Kipchoge alongside Tennis sensationย Novak Djokovic of Serbia was also nominated for the sportsman of the year award.
Kipchoge clinched to the top by beating the world record by 78 seconds.
