Slain lawyer Chesang tortured & dragged from his bedroom before cold murder

The law societyof Kenya is in mourning after gunmen entered the home of an advocate of the high court and Sunday afternoon and rained bullets on him leaving behind a lifeless corpse.

According to the police report, Chesang was shot dead in his house at Moke Gardens at 12:30pm.

Police said they found seven used bullet cartridges and an AK-47 rifle on the house floor after locals alerted them of gunshot sounds.

The officers had to jump over a locked gate to access his house. The report said the house door was locked from the inside.

“They peeped through the sitting room window and saw an unknown male adult lying in a pool of blood. It was established that the deceased lived alone in the house,” said the police report.

Chesang is said to have been alone in the house during the time of the incident. Police said they recovered seven spent cartridges of an AK47 rifle at the scene of murder.

“It is rare to find thugs with rifles and especially AK47. This seems to be classic elimination using serious people probably state operatives,” added another official.

The team that visited the scene said the deceased was most likely tortured and dragged from his bedroom before he was killed in cold blood.

The lawyer’s body was taken to Shalom Hospital mortuary.
