MP Mishi Mboko addresses popaganda on her sh 7 million toilet project

No matter how extravagant they may seem, there are those who were just born to roll big for spending is the only language they know.Problem is when the cash turns out to be public money.

One female Member of Parliament Mishi Mboko is breaking the record of Bungoma agricultural ministry that purchased wheelbarrrows at sh 109,000.

She has defended her pricey constituency projects initiated under her watch claiming they will benefit the residents and have all been accounted for.

Speaking at Shikaadabu Primary School in Likoni where she commissioned 32 toilets renovated for Sh7 million, Ms Mboko accused her critics of channeling propaganda against the project.

She said the toilets had been in a deplorable condition before the National Government Constituencies Development Fund stepped in.

“There are those who are paid to spread lies about me but my record is clean,” she said.

Mboko has in the past been accused of stealing citizen’s money despite the fact that she strongly denied the allegations.

ODM chairman Likoni Hamisi Domoko awhile back claimed thatMombasa women representative Mishi Mboko, a close ally of Governor Hassan Joho, offered him Sh48 Million to drop his quest for the Likono Parliamentary seat in her favour.

“It’s true they come with this huge money to my home at around 8 pm. It was sh 16 million in the first batch and 48 million the second time, I sent them back telling them this money belongs to Likoni residents,” the ODM chairman was quoted by Baraka FM.
