Gems Cambridge to marry with Hillcrest schools

Employees of Gems Cambridge International school are in shivers following the announcement that the school is closing.

The school, situated along Magadi Road, was built with Ksh3 billion by a different developer and the administration has hence been paying Ksh200 million in a yearly lease.

The move, which is viewed as a cost-cutting procedure, will have to see GEMS’ pupils  exchange to Hillcrest International School

Hillcrest International School was additionally obtained by the Dubai-based developer at Ksh1.5 billion and has an understudy populace of 1000.

The schools are among the top schools in Kenya

In February 2019, GEMS terminated 10 senior staff. The news about the acquisition has sent shudders staff of the school as their fate is unknown.

In 2015, the establishment had assigned Kenya as its base camp for Africa, with plans to set up extra schools in Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda.
