On Sunday evening, armed Goons stormed the home of an advocate of the high court and sprayed him with bullets leaving him dead.
Robert Chesang a lawyer in high court was found by this tragedy while in his house at Moke Gardens, Machakos County where police found seven spent cartridges of an AK-47 rifle.
According to the report, the lawyer was alone at home, when the incident occurred.
Police officers were notified of the shooting and when they arrived, they found the main gate and door locked.
“The officers jumped into the compound and headed to the house. When they peeped through the door, they saw his body lying in a pool of blood in the living room,” narrated an officer who was at the scene.
Authorities believe he may have been tortured and dragged before being gun down in cold blood.
Police have yet to establish the motive behind the shooting.
“It is rare to find thugs with rifles and especially AK-47. This seems to be classic elimination using serious people probably state operatives,” suggested an officer.
The body has since been moved to Shalom Hospital Mortuary in Athi River.
The deceased is known to have been practicing in various law courts in the country.
