Parking in Mombasa County has now gone digital effective from today. This is quite an achievement right?
This is aimed at making it easier for motorists to make payments as well as sealing loopholes through which revenue leaks. This is part of the process of digitizing all financial transactions in the County.
This among the few steps the governor is undertaking to ensure efficiency in the collection of revenue in his county. This will address the long problem which have been affecting the county of the officials pocketing the money they receive through parking fees in the county.
Also this is deemed as perfect way of ending cartels who have owned specific streets in the county of Mombasa and use that advantage to charge motorists for their own personal benefits.
