WWE legend The Undertaker has reportedly “retired as a wrestler”.The phenom, real name Mark Callaway, will be appearing at the Starrcast 2 wrestling in late May one day before rival promotion AEW show Double Or Nothing in the same city of Las Vegas.

That followed on from the 53 year old officially deleting references to WWE for his social media accounts.

And with no apparent appearance at WrestleMania 35 or either of WWE’s upcoming Saudi Arabia shows in the pipeline, the rumours could be true.

Meltzer said: He said: “At least as of a week ago he was not doing either [WrestleMania or Saudi Arabia] and obviously [WWE] can panic and the Saudi Arabia show if the Prince wants him they can offer him so much money to do it, but as of a week ago he was not on either show.

“So I think he’s retired as a wrestler.”

Taker hinted at after his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 after he broke character to place his trademark dark jacket, gloves and hat in the middle of the ring.

But he made a shock return to defeat John Cena at the last year’s Showcase of the Immortals to claim victory before going on to wrestle at the Greatest Royal Rumble, Super Show-Down and Crown Jewel.

That last appearance saw him and in-character brother Kane defeated by Triple H and Shawn Michaels and the former world champion has not been seen since.

After joining WWE from WCW in 1990 he became one of the most iconic figures in the world of sports entertainment.

The veteran overcame Hall of Fame names such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and Randy Orton throughout his stellar career.

But it now looks like father time could finally have got the better of the legend, who if true, will retire with an incredible record of 24-2 at WrestleMania.
