Catholic University Dean Samuel Wakanyua on the spot for assaulting American Professor!

The Dean of Students at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa is on the spot for allegedly beating up Rosa Ko, a female American professor initially based at the institution.

The Dean has been arraigned at the Kibera Law Courts for allegations that he had battered Ms Ko, who at the time was working as an associate professor in charge of Internal Relations.

According to reports, Ms Ko was assaulted by Wakanyua at the University’s premises, Karen, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

Upon the confrontation taking place, Ko was immediately fired and assaulted by Wakanyua, prompting her to seek legal redress.

Nevertheless, Wakanyua, who is the Head of Department Social Sciences, denied the charges, and thus, was granted a Kshs 50,000 bond as well as a surety amount of Kshs 30,000 cash bail.

On the other hand, the prosecution has stated that its case is credible, and it would further bring witnesses to the hearing scheduled for March 20th.
