A campaign initiated by the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) is trending online in which Kenyans are lobbying for the implementation of two-thirds gender rule as parliament resumes sittings.
FIDA believes implementation of the rule is a long overdue and that delaying the process will do women no good.
Twitter is flooded with reactions of Kenyans who feel that their opinions should be heard, as more reactions keep on streaming in from different quarters.
Trending under the hashtag #TwoThirdsNOW below are some of the reactions.

It’s a high time the society embraces that women are human beings and hence able to sit in leadership positions and offer insight at the table @AkiliDada @fidakenya @OAYouth_Africa @youthagenda254 @FemnetProg @PlanKenya #DeliverforGoodKENYA #TwoThirdsNow

There’s clear reluctance, if not resistance, to implementing the gender-equity rule. The most obvious reason for this laxity is the fact that male leaders don’t want to give up their privilege. #DeliverforGoodKENYA #TwoThirdsNOW @AkiliDada @SDGsKenyaForum

Did you know Kenya's first woman elected into parliament? Grace Akech Onyango is her name and she was elected in in 1969. Because she paved the way for women in politics, we must push for #TwoThirdsNOW. #DeliverforGoodKENYA @WomenDeliver @CREAWKenya @PlanKenya @UnKenya @fidakenya pic.twitter.com/1JR1MXYEwe

8 years later since the promulgation of the 2010 constitution and we’re still taking about the 2/3 gender rule. What should we do differently?#DeliverforGoodKenya #TwoThirdsNow@AkiliDada @FIDAKenya @WomenDeliver
