Six key suspects linked to the murder of Caroline Mutuku will be detained for 14 days.
Whey they appeared before Makadara court on Wednesday, the Chief Magistrate Heston Nyaga ruled they be detained at various police stations which will only be disclosed to their families and lawyers.
Why could the suspects secure bonds?
The prosecution had applied to have the six suspects; Michael Onchiri, Betty Akinyi, Richard Ramoya, Alexander Gitau, Georgia Achieng and Stephen Maina detained.
The prosecution argued that the six be held longer over their safety and to also allow police more time to carry out investigations.
Mwatha, who went missing last week, was found dead on Tuesday afternoon when her body was found at the City Mortuary in Nairobi.
