In a love stringed murder case,Suspects Ms Judy Wangui together with slain Mary Wambui’s husband Joseph Kori and a taxi operator Michael Githae appeared on Wednesday to take plea at the Kiambu law courts
When he was brought before the court, Kori was doing fine until his lawyer started presenting his case before Kiambu senior principal magistrate Stella Atambo when he broke down in tears.
He took out his white handkerchief and begun wiping his tears that were freely flowing down his cheeks at the court.
Judy Wangui sought to be released on bond as she is being sexually harassed at the Juja Police Station where she is being held.
Appearing in a Kiambu court alongside other suspects; Joseph Kori Karue and Michael Githae, Wangui in a bond application through her lawyer Cliff Ombeta, also alleged that she has also been tortured.
However the State objected to the application terming it as unconstitutional and unreasonable
Police are seeking 14 more days to continue detaining the three suspects over the murder.
The prosecution told Kiambu senior principal magistrate that investigators need more time to complete investigations which is a complex matter.
But defence lawyers opposed the application, saying nothing is being done by police.
Wambui disappeared on January 26, and her body was found the following day at Courtesy Beach in Juja.
