Four foreigners are among the five people who have been confirmed after a light aircraft crashed near Makutano forest in Londiani, Kericho county. The 5th person is a local pilot whose identity is yet to be revealed. The nationalities of the foreigners has also not been revealed.
The plane which is operated by Safari Link, was traveling from Maasai Mara Game Reserve to Lodwar. The craft crashed on Masaita Forest View Village and landed on a farm a few minutes after 11am.
It reportedly crashed a tree after developing mechanical problems. Locals gathered around it trying to rescue passengers but it was all in vain.
This is not the first time that a Cesna Plane has crashed in Kenya.
