The rising number of people missing later to be found in city mortuary is alarming and shocking.
Even before the country had recovered from the chilling murder of a mother in Kiambu a week ago,
Caroline Mwatha, a human rights activist from Dandora who went missing last week, has been found dead and her body lying at City Mortuary in Nairobi on Tuesday afternoon.
Here are the people who have gone missing only to be found in city mortuary.
1.Former Multi-Media University student Susan Njoki
The body of a former Multimedia University student who went missing on December 30, was found at the city mortuary on January 15.
Ms Njoki’s family reported her disappearance at Ongata Rongai police station on January 8.
She went missing for two days after returning to Nairobi where she worked for a public relations company.
2.Mildred Odira, a Nation Centre-based Foresight company employee
Investigations indicate that Mildred Odira, a Nation Centre-based Foresight company employee, may have been murdered elsewhere before her body was dumped at the General Service Unit (GSU) drift on Thika Road.
A weeklong search for the woman ended at the City Mortuary where her mangled body was found by her family.
3.Caroline Mwatha
Caroline Mwatha, a human rights activist from Dandora who went missing last week, has been found dead.The body of Ms. Mwatha was found at City Mortuary in Nairobi on Tuesday afternoon.
Sources have told Citizen Digital that the woman’s body was booked at the morgue by a private citizen.
