‘Meno Huuma Usiku’ Why Teeth Aches at Night

A toothache is one of the most dreaded pains. So, why does a tooth have to wait until night just to annoyingly deny you sleep and perhaps sex? here’s why;

To begin with, most teeth pain is caused by a decay that cuts across the enamel, dentine and extends to the nerve and blood vessels. Any discomfort to the decayed teeth may be registered to the nerve as pain. The result is a sharp annoying pain that makes you wish to smash your dental formula with a hammer.

Teeth are very sensitive to the body physiology. Any kind of stress encountered at work during the day is processed at night.

Out of anger or frustration, one may grind the teeth. The condition is also known as bruxism. At night and when asleep, we normally are not in control of what we do and chances of grinding the teeth are very high. When it happens to a decayed or sensitive tooth, the result is a sharp pain that cuts your dream of a holiday in Dubai.

Pressure exerted to blood flow when you lie down may prompt a decayed tooth to pain. When one lies, more blood flows to the brain due to gravitational advantage. As more blood flows in pressure, the sensory nerves are triggered and respond in a bad pain that can destroy a night.

Foodies who insist on having late night snacks can trigger teeth aches. If your teeth are sensitive or you have a cavity food particles in your teeth cant trigger pain. The food particles normally turns acidic and sugary which eats into your enamel and may get access to the sensory nerves.
