Kill Kenyan Rustlers, Uganda Issues Order to their Forces

A Ugandan Minister, Mr Moses Kizige has ordered Ugandan soldier to shoot to kill all the armed kenyan pastoralists who enter Uganda.

The State Minister for Karamoja Affairs gave the order to the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) while in a celebration of National Movement Resistance Day on January 26.

He mentioned that while the state was disarming the Karimojong, their peace was being threatened by armed Turkana and Pokot cattle rustlers from both Kenya and Sudan.

“The government didn’t disarm the Karimojong to allow armed pastoralists from neighbouring countries to disturb them. We shall now start killing them to save the lives of our harmless people in Karamoja,” he said.

He, however, said that Uganda was more than ready to offer support to disciplined visitors.

The festival termed ” A moment of glory that set a new chapter for unity, peace and prosperityin Uganda,” was the first to be celebrated in Amudat District.

Amudat Resident District Commissioner Robert Adyama on his part urged leaders to respect national functions.

He added that through those functions, the public is kept informed.
