Drake praises Cardi B after winning Grammy Award

Femal rapper Cardi B has made history as the first woman to win the Grammy Award for the best rap album.

The rapper won the Grammy for her debut ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ beating the likes of Travis Scott, Pusha T, and Nipsey Hussle. The rapper was accompanied to stage by her hubby Offset of Migos.

She was clearly overwhelmed at the lucrative win and with her sarcastic smile she said; “The nerves are so bad. Maybe I need to start smoking weed.”

She spoke about her album not being finished when she found out she was pregnant and filming a music video and thanked artists who came through for some of the collaborations.

The win, however, has caused an uproar from hip-hop lovers saying that she didn’t deserve the win and that Nicki Minaj is way better than her. Some argued that Grammy’s rewards artists basing on popularity and not content wise.

Drake in his speech pointed out how anyone can be a Grammy winner no matter where you come from.

“This is not a factually based trophy that one can win from hard work or not an NBA where on in from scoring. Music is something that a bunch of people might not understand what makes a street kid from Cannada is saying or a Spanish girl from Newyork.” Drake added.
