The National Transport and Safety Authority has disassociated itself from a car racing event that was organized by extreme performance.
Apparently, the overly hyped car racing event took place on February 2nd and the results were shared out on 3rd.
In the poster that was hyping the event, NTSA was indicated as the body that approved the event.
Yesterday, NTSA issued a notice to tell Kenyans that their Authority did not approve it as alleged by it’s organizers.
Did you say you are not associated with the event? How comes? ?? pic.twitter.com/pGXaK5pLhI

This statement has however attracted reactions with some Kenyans saying that they were present during the event and NTSA officials presence was felt.
Even more shocking that they issued the notice days after the event was carried out.
Some Kenyans say that racing it’s a sport that should be embraced and NTSA are expected to associate themselves with such to encourage Kenyans to do it in a controlled environment and create more awareness on road safety these are the right avenues for your campaigns.
Others however say that it is not enough for them to dissociate from the event but they should also tell Kenyans what actions they will take to ensure that it never happens again.

stop playing politics, we know you approved because I was in that event and your cars were there… How do you explain that? And yoh it’s a sport which instead of these drama you can actually try and associate yourself with to create awareness on road safety.
