Controversial RnB musician R. Kelly on Tuesday announced a tour despite the storm of sexual allegations that hit him last year, birthing #MuteRKelly where a group of netizens lobbied against playing his music.
I can't believe what I've just watched! How is this monster still free? C'mon, hear these women, show you love and support them, act! Time for the American judicial system to step up! Lock up R Kelly #MuteRKelly #SurvivingRKellly pic.twitter.com/xyixANF5lH

The enraged group’s anger was on Tuesday revived after R. Kelly posted on his social media accounts that he will soon be touring Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
“NEW TOUR ALERT: Australia | New Zealand | Sri Lanka see y’all soon!” read his Twitter post, which he later deleted across all social media.

According to tour company Flamingo Dreamz, who are said to be promoting the tour, the tour will go ahead in June, but management were told to take down the posts until “everything is sorted.”
Formerly, the 52-year-old Grammy winner had been expected in Australia but dispelled the tour as fake news, adding that fans should watch his social media because his next tour would be announced by him, and they would “hear it directly from me.”
It is however alleged that the tour was to happen but the sexual assault accusations brought out in series, ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ led to its cancellation.
Though he has not yet been convicted of any crimes connected with the allegations, R. Kelly’s career music career has taken its toll as a result. Artistes like Jennifer Hudson, Lady Gaga and Chance the Rapper have publicly condemned his actions while declaring that they have pulled down any of their music in which R. Kelly is featured.

Moreover, his chances of actually having a tour in Australia are also getting slimmer as the Australian government has explicitly declared that it does not allow visas for people of questionable character.
“Labor strongly supports the refusal or cancellation of visas of non-citizens on character or criminal grounds,” reads a statement from Australia’s Labor Party, “Labor would be seriously concerned if immigration minister David Coleman would allow an individual such as R Kelly into Australia,” added Australia’s shadow immigration minister.
