Judiciary resides to employ handshake to fight corruption collaboratively

Its been a blame game of pointing finers at another institution ever since the public burst in an outcry over failed graft cases turning out to be a mockery of dupedtax payers.

This grew pressure that led to head justice Maraga commence serious action against problem.In a meeting at the 20th National Council Administration of Justice in Naivasha,Judiciary has resolved to use a collaborative approach in dealing with corruption cases.

Chief Justice David Maraga said the Council on Administration of Justice will set up a committee to identify key challenges and make proposals that will produce greater efficiencies in fighting graft.

This he said will accelerate efficiency in the delivery of service to Kenyans.

“Members have agreed to have positive engagement and encourage a culture of interagency consultation in all cross-cutting matters,” part of a nine-point resolution arrived at a meeting held in Naivasha read.

Maraga said the multi-agency council will spearhead key reforms that will enhance efficiency in the ongoing war against corruption.

β€œIt is my singular believe that challenges facing the justice sector can only be addressed when we come up with practical solutions on how to address the challenges we face,” the CJ underscored.

Maraga urged the council consisting of 11 State actors including the State Law Office, National Police Service, and the Prisons Service to work closely in a bid to enhance efficiency in the justice sector.
