Ongea Summit was born out of the Annual Kenya music week, which has ran for 10 Years and takes place each and every December. Since Kenya Music Week was achieved, its objectives for the Kenya Music Industry over that Decade, has now Broadend the Scope of the ongea event whose three Pillars are still Trade, Learn and Showcase.

This Years Event will be held at Sarit Centre Expo Hall in Westlands, Nairobi, from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th February 2019. Daily Showcase Performances, by exhibiting Musicians and other Talent, in front of Local, Regional and International Festival Bookers. A daily Trade Exhibition, of local Industry stakeholders, including interested Regional and International Practitioners. A daily Industry Panel, by Local, Regional and International Experts. The show will have 58 exhibition stands, 8industry panels and 29 showcases.
It has invited Peter Astedt, co-founder of Live at Heart festival from Sweden, to be one of this year’s bookers. Over the years, Ongea, has been at the forefront in supporting the development of the music industry of Africa. Ongea! 2019 will feature the arious showcases from different artistes given 25 minutes each over the four days of the summit.
Peter Astedt will select at least one of the showcasers to go perform at Live at Heart festival in Orebro, Sweden, with all expenses catered for, on their 10th anniversary from September 4-7. The festival annually has a line-up of over 200 bands from 40 countries, who perform to thousands.
