VIDEO: ‘I thought I would not make it to 2019’ Ommy Dimpoz speaks for the first time after his surgery

 

Tanzanian  Artist Ommy Dimpoz has spoken for the first time after his surgery.

The Bongo star says that although he cannot say that he has fully recovered he is so grateful that the surgery was a success.

Speaking to Mseto East Africa, Ommy Dimpoz said that he was hopeless about making it in 2019  but he is glad that  he overcame the hardships and tough times.

He also added that he is getting better with time and he feels like indeed he will soon recover.

The musician shared on there are complications that he went  through after his first operation and that led on to another operation.

This all began after the doctors report indicated that he had consumed something poisonous.

The Singer says that it has been about 8 months of back to back treatment and it all began when he started feeling pain in his throat.

He also clarified saying that  he was not suffering  from cancer as some of the medical reports had indicated.

Speaking on his relationship with Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Ommy Dimpoz says that  he was with him when the complication began.

Joho therefore felt entitled to walk him through the treatment journey and  assured him of his support until  he fully recovers.

The artist also gave thanks to  all those who supported him and that period served him with so many lessons.

On whether he plans on to  have a comeback in the music industry, Ommy said that whenever he is ready, he will let his fans know.
