Ephrahim Otieno is a blessed, but a troubled man. His female tenant has refused to vacate his property and insists that she is now his wife, one year after she rented the house.
As Otieno narrates, About a year ago, he acquired a three bedroom property in Nyayo Highrise Estate, Nairobi.
As seen in his facebook post, Otieno thought it was just a normal landlord-tenant relationship.
Since the house was too big for him, he decided to rent out one bedroom to his female friend.
However, the two shared the toilet, bathroom and the kitchen but used the other rooms separately.
Since then , Otieno has acquired more items for his house and he needs his space back, as he alleges.
As a good landlord would do, he wrote a notice informing his tenant to vacate the house in a month’s time.
Otieno was, however, met by a surprise. The lady is more than unwilling to move. She insists that she is his wife.
Trouble started when Otieno brought his girlfriend into his house. After Otieno left the house to run some errands, the girlfriend called him complaining that the wife wants to kill her.
The incident seems to have irked Otieno and he now wants his bedroom back.
Though Otieno admits to have ‘opened her servers’ for at least the past seven months, he insists that there was no marriage agreement between the two and that their cohabitation could not be a precedent for marriage.
