Bongo star Ommy Dimpoz has opened up about his relationship with Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
This was during his first interview on Mseto East Africa since he had a successful surgery and has now began his journey of recovery.
The duo have been close friends and this was evident even during his time of ailment and treatment period.
Ommy Dimpoz was reported ill during Ali Kiba’s wedding and at that time, he already had links with the Mombasa Governor.
The artist says that Joho was among the people who held his hand and supported him as he got his medication.
There are many photos that emerged online of Joho and Ommy Dimpoz and the Singer is said to have spent quite sometime at Joho’s home during his recovery.
Ommy Dimpoz spoke in length about how Joho was committed to walking him through that phase after he was hit with the challenges.
Since the Mombasa Governor was present at the time when it all began, Joho assured the bongo artist to support him until he fully recovered.
Ommy gave thanks to the Mombasa Governor who played a key role by offering his hand.
The artist also thanked all his fans and people who prayed for him and wished him well saying that all that for him counted.
There are many lessons that he learnt and he says that at that point,he saw true friends and became closer to God.
The Bongo artist also said that although he cannot say that he has fully recovered yet, he thanks God for putting him back on his feet.
