News that a warrant of arrest has been given for the arrest of Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter made rounds across various mainstream media and social media platforms.

Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi issued the warrant of arrest after Keter allegedly failed to present himself in court for the mention of a treasury bond forgery case.

Soon after the arrest warrant was issued, Keter presented himself in court where his lawyer took the blame, saying that he (lawyer) had misdiarised the date for the mention, hence, the confusion.

This led to the lifting of a warrant of arrest issued earlier against the vocal MP.
