Lessons learnt from Fadhili Wilkins ‘fake lifestyle’ confession

The wake of conmanship in the society has been brought in the open after the expose of a top city conman; Fadhili Wilkins.

If you have been keeping up with the trends, then you probably know who this is.

Fadhili refers to himself as the man behind brands; that is what many people knew him for before he was exposed as a fraud.

The young entrepreneur had been using celebrities names and claiming to be their brand strategist.

His expose did not come as a shock much as people have said how it is a reflection of the leaders we have in our society.

Although many people might have fallen for his dubious ways there is more beyond his story. The lessons.

Here is what I could gather from his story.

Anyone can be a conman. It never shows on their face

We are all moved by looks first before anything. They say that appearance is what creates the first impression of an individual.

We might be wrong.

From the reactions online, Fadhili is a young admirable man and his face is unmatched by his actions. But we all could not read that in his face .

The lesson here is being cautious with the people we meet and even trust.

Take time to learn an individual before investing in anything even if it is friendship.

Faking it till you make it mentality could land you in trouble. Be You

The youth are hungry and desperate to make it. There is pressure from the inside out and  everyone desires to instantly achieve their dreams.

This pushes many of us to do things that we never even intended.

It is not just the youth alone. Even people who have already made it and are living large have embraced the social media lifestyle where you portray yourself in a certain way contrary to the reality of life.

Lesson is do not fake it.. it never ends well.

Owning up to your mistakes is Key

After things blow up in your face, you probably have so much racing in your brain.

There is no better escape than to accept that you made mistakes and ask to be pardoned.

Some victims from Fadhili’s story had hinted of taking legal actions.

Sometimes an apology can save you from things moving from worse to worst.

Lesson is own up to your mistakes and purpose to be a better person,
