Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i today officially opened the Regional Police Commanders Strategic Leadership Development Course for recently appointed regional Police Commanders at the NPS Senior Staff College-Loresho.
Dr Matiang’i was accompanied by CS Joe Mucheru, IPOA Chair Anne Makori, NPSC CEO Mr. Joseph Onyango, among other senior Police Officers and commanders.
Matiangi today announced that the government will launch a competition for police officers to fast-track realization of reforms in the National Police service.
Matiangi says that the assessment criteria will involve cleanliness of police stations and citizen review of services; winners will be promoted.
Part of the discussion in the meeting which Matiangi chaired was on how to fast-track execution of national government projects in the region following Kenyatta’s directive in the spirit of Building Bridges Initiative.
