The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has questioned a local daily, the Daily Nation newspaper for publishing an article from the person he has termed as ignorant.
Following the Party’s move to issue a disciplinary action against its rebel members, the Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and her Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori, many Kenyans have been passing their different views on the move.
Through Daily Nation, Ms Guyo, a legal researcher faulted ODM for expelling the two Coastal region MPs.
Her post published by the local daily read, ” The biggest opposition party in Kenya, ODM, has expelled two MPs for Supporting the Ruto 2022 campaign. For a political party led by someone with such enviable pro-democracy and anti-corruption Credentials as Raila, one would expect ODM to also expel members facing graft and murder charges. Such hypocrisy!”
In a response to the post, Sifuna blasted Guyo, doubting her professional profile.
He posted, “How do you call yourself a legal researcher @kdiguyo if you cannot find the difference between the criminal legal regime and the political one? This is law school first year first semester stuff madam “researcher”. Why would @dailynation publish such ignorance?”
