Details of the1st handshake that cannot be overruled by the new one with Odinga

Political debates in Kenya are intensifying with every move that the president makes.There is a keen eye thas has been placed on president Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto. There whereabouts, missions and relationship is under scrutiny.

Many want to predict any storms so they can know if their favorite man is going down or still standing while some are confused at the directions the rulers are taking making demand for answers in anxiety.

Well for starters, Fred Matiang’i’s appointment has led many to believe in a superiority war where Ruto is being unermined by the new powers the interior Cabinet Secretary has been accorded.

Not all though, a section of the Rift Valley and Central Kenya legislators have dismissed the existence of power games going on.

Martha Wangari (Gilgil), Wanjiku Kibe (Gatundu North), Patrick Mariru (Laikipia West), Kuria Kimani (Molo), Charity Kathambi (Njoro) and George Kariuki (Ndia) made the remarks at a  graduation ceremony of over 500 youth in Gilgil town at the weekend.

Wangari said although President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga were now working together, it did not mean that Ruto had been sidelined.

Ruto, she said, was part of the Presidency and his powers had not been reduced and called on those claiming otherwise to shun negative politics.

Mariru said the first handshake in the country was by the President and his Deputy, noting that it could not be overruled by the new one with Odinga.

“Ruto is our deputy party leader and there is no way the Matiang’i’s role can be superior than the power to lead the country,” he said.
