‘Manchester United Will Win Nothing If Paul Pogba Stays’

Trevor Francis, who spoke on beIN Sports, believes that the World Cup winner will never win honours with Manchester United.

“Pogba, for me, will never ever give you the opportunity of winning trophies or championships, because he’s a luxury player,” he said.

Pogba has won numerous accolades so far throughout his career, including four Serie A titles with Juventus.

He’s also won the League Cup with United since his arrival in 2016, and he scored in the Europa League final when United beat Ajax 2017.

Pogba was domineering in his performance against Arsenal on Friday evening, and it was his shot that was parried out to Anthony Martial that led to the third goal.

Solskjaer, however, has an opposing view to Francis, saying that Pogba has leadership qualities and can lead United to success.

“I know the boy from before and he is a leader,” he said.

“He influences people. He cares and really wants to be successful.

“Paul’s a larger than life character, that is just the way he is.”

Solskjaer has now won eight games from eight since his arrival at Old Trafford.

That run includes six league games and two FA Cup victories, with big wins coming against Tottenham and Arsenal away from home.

United will face their toughest test yet under the Norwegian in February, though, when they come up against PSG in the last 16 of the Champions League.
