A Kenyan woman is in search of her lover from the United States of America who ran away with their two-year-old baby boy.
Lilian Mwai met her lover Matthew Stumpf Herbert through her cousin’s fiance and the two started dating in the year 2016 before she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy.
All seemed well with her lover who visited Kenya severally to see her and the boy until when he started assaulting her and chasing her out of their house, as reported by KTN News. “After I gave birth in 2016, he came and he was willing to take care of his kid,” said Lilian.
The man later asked her to pack all their belongings and leave the house. Surprised by the strange character of her lover, Lilian left the house with her baby.
“There is a time he took my clothes and put them outside telling me I should leave the house. I packed my clothes and those of the child and left the house.
He later came apologising and we made up,” said Lilian. Mathew, who is said to work with a construction company, came back into the country in November, 2018, and was expected to fly back in May, 2019.
However, on Tuesday, January 22, the man packed his belongings and left the house with the baby and his documents. Her efforts to report the matter to police did not bear fruit as the man had already fled with the baby. She is now appealing to the government to help trace her US lover and get back her child.
