President Kenyatta new tact on how to deal with rogue officers

President Uhuru Kenyatta has assured Kenyans that police officers who will be culpable for misuse of their position will be dealt with accordingly.

The Head of state was speaking during his first visit to the DCI Hqs  which marked the first time since the inception of this Directorate.

Kenyatta said that he chose this day to honor men and women in the executive who have been in the forefront in the fight against corruption.

He also added that they will be firm and hostile to officers who misuse their positions to the expense of Kenyans, the taxpayers who pay taxes for us to get our salaries.

The President also added that Individuals who choose to live outside the rule of law must be dealt with firmly but within the law.

The President also awarded and honoured officers drawn from the Kenya Police Service and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions

The head of state however congratulated DCI and DPP officers for the work they have done so far, but we must continue to do more.

The President mentioned that working together is the only way to win as a country in the face of terrorism, organised crime and other vices that threaten our national security

The President also assured that his  administration commits to continue supporting the modernization of and so as to effectively and efficiently deliver to the people of Kenya.
