When it comes to making moves, no one does it better than Adelle Onyango. To add to her many other nominations and wins, the radio presenter has now received a nomination to the Zuri Awards.

Zuri Awards (which kinda sounds like Zumi but we are not catching feelings) was established in 2017. Its aim is to celebrate women and organizations bringing change through their work in their community.

Adelle through her Instagram page appreciated this nomination with humbling words:

Zuri Awards thanks for the nomination for Humanitarian of the Year – but this is for a couple of people and not me:⁣

•The partners who believed in us from 2017! @centonomyIG that’s when we first started the scholarship program! @fuzukenya who partnered with us on the Job Shadow Program which started last year. ⁣

• @roninproductionsKE x @phocus_photoour production partners helping the initiative start the journey to solutions on Gender Issues x Mental Health by documenting necessary conversations and stories on #AdelleTV from 2017. To every #UnapologeticallyAfrican African that has shared their story or point on view on #AdelleTV ⁣

• To all the now 3800 members on @teamadelle and all the #TeamADELLEleaders!!!! You believe in us and that’s hella dope.⁣

2019 we are working tirelessly to create impact, opportunity and influence necessary change. Which is super hard BUT I’m very hopeful! Plus we have a pretty interesting opportunity to offer very soon! ⁣
