Kenyans have today joined in the campaign against youth  radicalization and involvement in criminal activities.

The conversation was today initiated by a sports company in Kenya who are set to roll out a program with the intention of bringing an end to radicalization of youth and recruitment into violent extremism.

The issue of radicalization has been one of the challenges that  the government has been battling and working with the police service to root out such cases.

However the harsh reality hit hard after the Dusit attack that led to the loss of 21 Kenyans; a shame that some of the faces that were part of the plan were people living amidst us.

This has ignited the urge to address the matter and come up with solutions to this menace.

Kenyans have mentioned that there is a need for the creation of more youth programs  that aim to rehabilitate youth who are already engaging in criminal activity and steer them in the right direction through mentorships programs.

In the Kenyan context, changing attitudes about the role of young people in society and providing them with real opportunities to participate and express themselves must be a fundamental principle of youth development.

Top organization and Kenyans in general should feel entitled to be part of this campaign  and come up with initiatives that will kick out cases of radicalization.

What needs to be done to end radicalization and recruiting of youth into extremists groups?
