Marko Arnautovic’s proposed move to China has collapsed because Guangzhou Evergrande have backed out of a deal worth up to around £45million.
That’s the report from the Daily Mail, after Arnautovic missed West Ham’s 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth with manager Manuel Pellegrini suggesting he was not up to standard in training in the week.
Arnautovic has told West Ham he wants to leave with Chinese club Guangzhou offering a massive wage increase – but the move is believed to have now been called off.
The transfer window for Chinese clubs does not shut until February 28.
