Arsenal And Liverpool Join Race For Key Wolves Man

Wolves defender Conor Coady is a target for Arsenal and Liverpool, it has been claimed.

The in-form Molineux skipper has been watched in recent weeks by Gareth Southgate as he mulls over calling up the 25-year-old for an England debut.

It seems Southgate isn’t the only one who has been keeping track of Coady’s progress.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are keeping tabs on Wolves captain Conor Coady, according to a report in the Mail Online .

What’s happening at Wolves?
They claim that Molineux chiefs are looking to open talks over a new deal for the 25-year-old, who has two years to run on his existing contract.

Coady has shone this season in the middle of a back three for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, with his displays putting him in contention for an England call-up.

Arsenal – who have often played three at the back under Unai Emery – are paying ‘particularly close attention’ to Coady according to the report, with Liverpool also monitoring the Scouser.

Conor Coady has gone from a man on the peripheries at Wolves, to the man with the armband.

Playing at the centre of the promotion winning side’s defence, he was an integral cog in the Wolves machine all season.
