Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has recently commisioned a water project that is designed to solve the water shortage menace.
Water Shortage crisis is said to hit the county several times and water being essential there was need for a lasting solution.
The Governor announced that the commissioning of this project will be of great benefit to the people of Machakos county.
He stated that the 100 million litres capacity water Nthungululu Dam is capable of serving thousands of people.
Mutua says that already, villages have started getting purified and treated free clean water at their homes.
The Governor had earlier said that under his administration, his people’s needs will always be his priority.
Mutua says that this is part of the initiative of giving people hope and opportunities and initiating development programs that make their lives easier and better.
Several developments have been taking place in the county; yesterday they launched a road together with Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana.
Apart from this water project, Mutua says that as part of his county towns rejuvenation program, his Government will be paving all the major towns and tarmacking as many link roads as financially possible.
His intention he says is to better the lives of his people. He also welcomed all leaders to work together with his team for the benefit of our people of Machakos
