Why curriculum revision is looming in higher levels of learning?

Curriculum revision may soon hit the tertiary levels of learning in the country. The tertiary levels of education which include Universities, Colleges, Polytechnic and training institutes may also be tuned to suit the proposed new system.

President Kenyatta in his state address in Mombasa while delivering his end of year message to Kenyans has urged tertiary levels of education to embrace courses that will assure graduates jobs. The President has insisted on the higher levels of learning embracing the molding of different skills which are vital in the job market.

President has said that if the higher levels are tuned in such a manner the level of employment in the country will increase.

Unemployment has been a major issue affecting the country. Despite the country  producing thousands of graduates each and every year the employment rate is just low.

The President in trying to fulfill his campaign promise of creating many jobs for the youth has decided to direct his effort in training qualified individuals who will fill the available positions that require exemplary skills.

This comes as the country is still in a confused state about the roll out of the new school curriculum which was meant to be effected this January.
