Huddersfield Town will be rivalled by Crystal Palace for the January signing of Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke, according to reports.

Sky Sports claimed the Terriers were on the 21-year old earlier this season and suggested Town would look to sign the striker on loan for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign.

But the outlet now claims that relegation rivals Palace, who sit 14th in the Premier League table, will challenge Town for the signature of Solanke, who is yet to make an appearance for the Reds this term.

Palace, who are still waiting on strikers Christian Benteke and Conor Wickham to score this season, are thought to have ruled out a loan move for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi next month and are said to be interested in the Chelsea youth product as they look to add goals to their offensive line.

Town will likely be looking for a goal-scorer in January too, with Steve Mounie and Laurent Depoitre also yet to get off the mark this season.
