Kiambu County governor Ferdinand Waititu is one of the most popular politicians in the country mostly for the most absurd of reasons. His popularity is not because of the many development projects he has done in his county but the many shenanigans he has pulled ever since he joined politics.
A lively soul himself, Waititu has always put smiles on the faces of many Kenyans thanks to his unorthodox way of doing things. The governor has once again left countless Kenyans sprawling on the floor after stepping out looking like a Father Christmas.
Waititu and his wife held a special charity Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at the Kiambu County headquarters.
The two through their respective offices decided to put smiles on the faces of the less fortunate in the county by showering them with gifts ahead of Christmas celebrations. Well, in a bid to not only play the part but also look the part, Waititu rocked Santa’s beards and a red hat to compliment his weird look.
Photos of Waititu in the Father Christmas costume made rounds on social media and excited thousands of Kenyans who lauded him for always being flexible. Others, however, trolled him and wondered why a whole governor could waste his time rocking such a costume instead of concentrating on pertinent issues affecting the county.
