List of international artists robbed in Kenya while performing on stage

Kenyans are full of funny surprises,foreign artists have lerned their lessons the hard way after being robbed while performing in Kenya.

Over the weekend American rapper Desiigner who jetted into the country to perform at the Jameson party on  was robbed by fans while performing.

The rapper tried to crowd-surf but as soon as he was within reach, some individuals saw it as an opportunity to steal from him.

The Panda hit maker fought off a thief who was plucking his wristwatch. But as he was saving his watch, another thief grabbed his legs and removed his sneakers.

Here is the video of him shouting “My sneakers! My sneakers!”  after being mugged on stage.

It is reported that the hip-hop artist was able to recover the sneakers, denying the robbers the satisfaction of owning such expensive shoes.

Not long ago Diamond Platnumz  was mugged his pure diamond chains while mingling with a crowd ahead of Wasafi Festival in Mtwara.

Mama G or better known as Patience Ozokwor has also been a victim of theft when she visited the country in 2011.

The Nigerian actress lost her phone while she was in company of other Nollywood stars. Mama G had visited University of Nairobi where she had an interactive session with students before heading to Brookhouse to address drama club members.

Another reggae star who lost a phone in Kenya is Tarrus Riley. The Jamaican was robbed of his iPhone during a press conference held at the posh Sankara Hotel in 2012. Even after a thorough search, Tarrus’ iPhone couldn’t be located.

In 2004, Sean Paul lost his phone when criminals masquerading as fans carried him up high in appreciation of his electrifying gig.

After Davido’s lacklustre performance at the Carnivore gardens in 2015, it is reported that his phone also went missing.

The international celebrities should know better not all those hanging with them during their concerts have good intentions, some are thieves!
