The senate Assembly of Kenya is tasked with even more complicated duties than the national assembly. They over see important national projects making sure they are strictly implemented.
But of late the houses of national representation have just become a total failure to the people of Kenya. Nothing useful is yet to come from both the senate and the national assembly.
This has even sparked the debate of constitution reforms as their numbers are just overwhelming and a burden to Kenyans.
Senator Ledama Olekina of Narok county of ODM party has come out to express his concerns on how the senate has failed to deliver. According to Hon. Ledama Senate commitee have beared nothing useful to the Kenyans.
The Ruaraka land report which was tabled in the Senate did not yield any results. The report had top names such as the Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i is almost ending up in the bins.
The Solai Dam tragedy that left many people displaced and even dead that was tabled in the senate has also failed to reap fruits to the country.
The Senator in a disappointed tone says corruption is their bones. All of them are corrupt for failing to fulfill what the mwananchi expects. They are all rotten.
This has made him request the Kenyans to forgive them as they are a total let down to the growth and implementation of important public policies.
But most Kenyans have questioned the essence of the apology as the Senator has not proposed a better way to ensure that the same does not continue happening.
Apart from suggesting that all Senators should be given the national constitution to guide them he has not given another better response that some Kenyans have questioned him.
