Ex-Man Utd midfielder ‘getting bored’ of Pogba, Lukaku

That’s the way to go. Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has backed Jose Mourinho after he dropped Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku to the bench for the visit of Arsenal.

Mourinho’s relationship with Pogba has been on rocky ground now for a while with little signs of a resolution after Mourinho reportedly called Pogba a ‘virus’ in a recent dressing-room rant.

And Ince thinks the Portuguese coach was right to drop Pogba to the bench against Arsenal as they drew 2-2 with Unai Emery’s men.

“It feels like every time I speak about Man United, it’s about Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku. I’m getting bored of them both,” Ince told Paddy Power News.

“Against Arsenal, the game was quite exciting and fun – which is rare for United at the minute – until those two came on the pitch.

“It wasn’t necessarily top class football on display, but it was enjoyable, and that’s all the fans wanted.

“The big decision for Jose Mourinho now is whether he keeps the same side for the Fulham game.

“He keeps chopping and changing it, and I can see why.

“He did the right thing in dropping Pogba and Lukaku, they don’t seem remotely interested, and they’re just not good enough.”
