How car signal nabbed suspects who left potential in law in a pool of blood

Its such a dark world that the depth of criminal activities cannot be comprehended by some of our minds.These are the days love doesn’t knock to present joy but rather great unpredicted doom.

sadly,the body of the businessman George Gachibi was found lying in a pool of blood on Tuesday at 9am by his employees who had gone to check on him at his house after he failed to answer to their calls and had not reported at his business.

The main door to his rented house had been broken and left open by the assailants believed to have murdered him.

Laikipia County Criminal Investigations Officer Peter Muinde said police traced the car signal to a place called Kirwara in Thika Sub-County, where they nabbed the two suspects.

According to police, the two were found with a vehicle stolen from the deceased. Upon further investigations, police say they found electronic goods stolen from the deceased in the house belonging to the suspects.

Charles Macharia and his daughter Jane Wanjiku, a waitress at a hotel in Nanyuki, were arrested at a petrol station in Kirwara, Gatanga Constituency in Murang’a County by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

“Detectives acted swiftly on receiving information about the stolen car and laid an ambush. After a short while,it was spotted being driven to a Petrol Station in Kirwara, Gatanga & the driver(Charles Macharia) arrested,” said the DCI in a statement issued Tuesday evening.

“The suspects were found in possession of the deceased’s motor vehicle and other electronics in their house in Gatanga.”

According to Muinde, the arrested woman is believed to have been the girlfriend of the deceased as they were often seen together and she would frequent his house.

The two suspects were detained at Thika Police Station while the body of the deceased was moved to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
