Reports from sources close to English Premier League side Arsenal claim that the London club has decided to let England striker Danny Welbeck leave on a free when his contract expires at the end of the season. Welbeck, a Manchester United academy graduate joined was signed by Arsene wenger in the summer of 2014 and has won two FA Cups with the London club.
He will especially be remembered for his FA Cup quarter final match winning goal against his boyhood club Manchester United at Old Trafford on his way to winning his first of two FA cup titles. The 28yr old is currently recovering from a nasty ankle injury that has ruled him out for possibly the rest of the current season.
The England striker suffered the injury in the Europa League draw with Sporting Lisbon and is unlikely to return before the end of the season.Arsenal have been linked with the likes of Nicolas Pepe and Patrik Shick as potential options in January.
While head of football Sanllehi admits he would prefer not to do business in January, he does concede the injury to Welbeck may lead to a rethink.
The news that Welbeck will leave Arsenal has attracted a lot of social Media reactions from Arsenal fans…
THAT United goal…
It's being reported that Danny Welbeck will leave Arsenal when his contract expires at the end of the season. His goal against Manchester United the season he joined us is still one of my favourite moments ever as an Arsenal fan. pic.twitter.com/DKkEqIfGkO

Good deal?
According to talkSPORT Danny Welbeck will not be offered a new deal at Arsenal ,feel sorry for him that he's injured but loving this new ruthless streak Arsenal, we all know the previous manager would have give him a 3 year deal.

Not surprised…
Danny Welbeck leaving not a surprise
The development of Reiss Nelson in Germany, and with Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah coming through, it is tough to see where he will get his minutes

All hail Unai Emery…
Danny Welbeck being released by Arsenal in the summer. You have to admire Emery – the man means business. In his eyes, Welbeck isn't good enough to take @Arsenal where he wants to take them. He's ruthless, whereas Wenger would probably have given him a new deal #Welbeck pic.twitter.com/s9xrCIdiM1
