Jose Mourinho refused to give club television station MUTV any team news ahead of the clash against Arsenal.

Manchester United are in the midst of an injury crisis with up to eight players potentially missing the Premier League game at Old Trafford. Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly both missed the draw against Southampton while Phil Jones is reportedly a doubt and Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford both came off with knocks.

However, the United manager refused to give anything away to MUTV when pressed on team news ahead of the game.

“Looking to next match I say we are going to be in difficulties to build a team we are going to have to make adaptations, compensations to give some balance to the team but I believe we will have the spirit to fight and win the match,” he said.

To which Mourinho simply replied: “No.”

The reporter then pushed Mourinho for further news by asking, ‘Can you update us at all?’

Mourinho replied: “No. I don’t want to update you, I would like Arsenal TV to make the same questions, but they don’t, they hide everything from the inside, so why should I answer to you so why should I give anything to you.”

Despite what Mourinho said, Arsenal have released their team news via their official channels.

Mesut Ozil is a doubt with a back problem as is Laurent Koscielny who is recovering from an achilles problem and Nacho Monreal will be assessed ahead of the game.

While Granit Xhaka, just like Ashley Young, is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
