Actress Neomi Ng’ang’a’s new job will curb body shaming!

It seems like no matter how hard they try, plus-size women still face heartbreaking amounts of adversity when trying to break into the fashion industry. Not only do people say the cruelest things, but it can even be a real challenge to find the supplies you need to get started.

Despite being a Plus Size woman,Kenyan celebrated Actress Neomi Ng’ang’a has beat all odds her  confidence has just  landed her a new job as the Executive Director of Pageant dubbed,‘Miss Plus Size World Kenya’.

The Pageant aims at celebrating the African Woman and creating plus size ambassadors who will help sensitize the society and the country at large about body confidence and acceptance of different body types regardless of size, age or weight and also help women develop confidence and elegance.

The Sumu la Penzi actress will lead the organization that aims at bringing the beautiful Kenyan plus size women to world platforms.

Neomi is also the face behind Team Curvy Kenya which celebrates curves in all their glory took to her social media account to share the good news with her fans.

“Beauty has so many forms, and I think the most beautiful thing is being confident and loving yourself. The very first Miss Plus World Kenya beauty pageant will be a launching pad for the world to appreciate the African Woman in all her splendour. The pageant will empower women to develop the confidence and elegance, here at home and beyond. My mandate as the Executive Director is to run Kenya’s first ever Plus Size Beauty pageant.”She wrote

Apart from creating confidence for the plus size women, the Miss Plus World Kenya beauty pageant will also  launch pad for the world to appreciate the African Woman in all her splendor.

The actress recently  launched her fashion line dubbed ” Style by Neomi,” that caters to the plus size women who want stylish clothes but can’t find them in their size or can’t find a good fit.

In 2015, Ng’ang’a was among the contestants of the Miss Plus Size Kenya which saw Faith Jully emerge as the overall winner.
