The last time I heard about Rose Muhando was about a year ago when the media had it that she was arrested over fraud allegations.
June 4 2017, the gospel artist was arrested on suspicion of fraud. Singida police boss, Debora Mligimba, confirmed her arrest saying that the singer was arrested at her home in Ikungi area after AICT Singida Church filed a complaint with authorities, claiming Rose Muhando had refused to pay them money that she owed the church.
It is alleged that on November 3, 2016, Rose Muhando received Tsh800, 000 (Ksh37, 000) from the Chairman of AICT Singida Church choir, Mashala Japhet, after Ms Muhando allegedly accepted to grace the launch of the choir’s album, but she did not turn up.
The church also claimed that Ms Muhando did not refund the money.In response to these allegations, Muhando said that the arrest was on the grounds of a mistaken identity.
The singer has been troubled for many years which affected her music career. From ailing to accusations that she was a drug addict. The troubles did not end there as a year later, an exorcism video of Rose Muhando emerges and Pastor Ng’ang’a is in the picture.
Kenyans believe that there might be more beyond the video.. more beyond the demon narrative. Many have sent out their prayers since Muhando was one of the celebrated gospel artists of all times.
The controversial pastor featured in the viral video, is perceived to brainwash his flock and has in many cases been accused of staging miracles.

Some believe that Ng’ang’a who is a man of God is not really of help in Muhando’s case saying that what she need at the moment is medical attention.
Speaking to Edaily, Pastor Nganga rubbished the claims that he was casting out demons from the musician.
The pastor revealed that he only gave Rose Muhando the help she needed which was more like a doctor patient relationship.
“If anything, I wasn’t casting demons out of the musician. She was unwell. She, therefore, requested for spiritual healing from me. I only facilitated that. Rose Muhando is like a patient in hospital.” he said
The pastor’s remarks continue to shock many as it was clear in the video that he was calling out demons. Many of her fans seemingly believe that the singer might not be possessed but needs serious medical attention.
