Mourinho ‘a man of extraordinary human quality’ praised

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has hailed Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho as “a man of extraordinary human quality” but he believes that he shares a lot in common with Jurgen Klopp.

Sarri has quickly accustomed to life in the English Premier League and is yet to taste defeat this season in every competition.

Chelsea are four points off Manchester City who currently occupy the top of league standings. Mourinho has had a frosty relationship with Chelsea fans of late which was evident in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea back in October.

Despite Mourinho clashing with one of Sarri’s assistants Marco Ianni, the Chelsea manager spoke highly of the United manager in a recent interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Mourinho is a man of extraordinary human quality. He made a great impression on me when we met at Stamford Bridge and there was that incident involving my assistant. Professionally, there’s nothing more to add – he’s won everything, everywhere.”

Sarri, however, noted that he shares some similarities with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, “Klopp is the one who I feel is closest to me in terms of philosophy, and I think our exchange [on the touchline in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool in September] proves it.”
